Our Program Includes

Assessment and Screening

The athlete is completely screened and assessed for musculoskeletal injuries and risk factors contributing to injuries by our sports therapist. Gait, Running and Posture analysis is carried out by a camera-aided movement analysing equipment, that points out objective deviations and faulty mechanics during running and walking.

Aquatic Therapy
Aquatic Therapy or Hydrotherapy allows early rehabilitation, safe risk free training, low impact muscle strengthening and a faster return to sport

Our pools are equipped with:

  • Underwater Treadmill with live camera monitoring
  • Underwater bike and elliptical for cross body training.
  • Resistance jets for deep tissue massage and trigger point release
  • Internationally sourced aquatic strengthening equipment
  • Inbuilt turbulence generator for added resistance and challenge.
  • Plyometric stations underwater
  • Temperature controlling mechanism.

Land Based Rehabilitation

After the pain tolerance and load bearing capacity of the muscle/ligament has improved, the rehabilitation is then stepped up and transitioned to land based rehab.

Our Land rehab area consists of a specialized medical rehabilitation gym

A few highlights of our land based rehab includes:

  • Advanced strength training equipment
  • Pilates reformer for core strengthening
  • TRX based functional training
  • Dry Needling
  • Sports Taping
  • Deep Tissue Sports Massage

Back to Sports Outdoor Rehabilitation

No rehab is complete without getting the player back to his sport in an outdoor terrain. Our final stage of rehabilitation is carried out in our outdoor rehab garden that is equipped with terrains of different textures and levels.

The rehab at this stage includes:

  • Agility Training
  • Plyometric training
  • Balance and proprioception training on a sensory pathway
  • Sports specific training

Injury Prevention and Performance Enhancement:

Our special team of Sports physiotherapists integrate the scientific principles of exercises into sports specific training for injury prevention. A tailor made injury prevention program is specially curated for the athlete on the basis of his initial physical assessment results and biomechanical factors.

Recovery and Relaxation

A good recovery promotes performance, gives the body enough time to heal and reduces the risk of injury.

Our Recovery Plan Includes:

  • Massage-

    • Sports Massage
    • Full-Body Massage
    • Lymphatic Drainage Massage
    • Back Massage
    • Thigh and Calf Massage
    • Deep Tissue Massage
Watsu- A form of passive relaxation- movement based technique performed in a heated therapeutic pool meant for deep relaxation of muscles and tissues. Helps reduce muscle soreness and pain.

Benefits of
Sports Aquatic Therapy

Reducing Pre-season Training Injuries

Exclusive land based pre-season training comes with its own share of training injuries leading to a higher percentage of games missed by the athlete. The repeated stress and bone micro-trauma on land with intensive training is one of the most common causes of training injuries. Balancing the training frequency by introducing underwater training helps to significantly reduce the total volume of stress and impact on the joints, thereby significantly reducing the risk of injuries.

Faster Recovery

Exercising underwater is much safer when you’re injured than exercising on land. This is because the buoyancy of water ensures minimal impact on the injured joint or ligament as compared to land. The enhanced tolerance to therapy allows the physiotherapist to begin rehabilitation exercises and complex functional exercises much sooner in water compared to land and speeds up the entire rehabilitation journey.

Strengthening and Conditioning

Because water is denser than air, it provides excellent resistance to the moving muscles without the full weight of your body during an exercise. The resistance of water can be further complimented by adding Special Aquatic Resistance training equipment like Push Plates, buoyant dumbells, hand held helmets, foam rollers etc. In addition to this, a motorized wave generator also helps in increasing the turbulence and resistance of the water increasing the complexity of the workout.

Deep tissue and muscle Relaxation

Our pools are equipped with a specialised underwater resistance jet that is meant for focused deep tissue release that helps manage post workout muscle soreness and spasms. In addition, our therapy pools are temperature controlled allowing the warmth of the water to aid in muscle relaxation and improve blood flow. Special Aquatic Therapy techniques like Watsu and Ai-Chi are specifically meant for deep relaxation of the mind and body.
